Extreme Downhill Tractor Race

Blowing Bubbles

Graham is learning so many new tricks. He tries to sing along when we sing to him and he replicates hand gestures when we sing "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider" and "The Wheels on the Bus". Here Graham shows that he can blow bubbles. It's not his best example and it is a few weeks but you get the idea.

Trip to Canada

Back in July we took a trip to Canada. It was Graham's first trip to mommy's motherland. By the end of the trip he was drinking Molson, playing hockey and adding "eh" to the end of every sentence.

These first pictures are from our visit to the Pincock Family cabin in Manitoba- think "The Village" meets "The Swiss Family Robinson" - it was awesome!

Breaking bread Canada style....yeah, it's pretty much the same as in the States.

Graham winning over the locals.

Time to go canoeing!

Monkey Boy

Back in August Graham and I took a quick trip to California (yes, I travelled by myself with Graham...the dealine for nominations for Dad of the Year is next week). Here he was impressing grandpa and I with his best monkey impression.

Previously on LOST....

Wow!! So it's been a really, really long time and I have been getting a lot of complaints....BUT WE'RE BACK! WE'RE BACK! And unlike a season of LOST I hope to avoid more untimely mid-story breaks.

While we have a lot of catching up to do (trip to Calgary and Edmonton, trip to California, trip to Washington DC and all kinds of mini adventures along the way) I figured I would start with a video from today. Here is Graham going David Beckham on the soccer ball! Wait for his warrior yell at the end!

Visit to Georgia

In July we went to see the grandparents in Georgia. The weather was great for swimming so we ended up spending a lot of time outside and in the pool.

Graham still loves the pool!

Graham also loves double fisting ribs!

More Birthday Celebration

We had a second birthday party for Graham with the Wolitski clan in Raleigh. Shannon made him a great dump truck birthday cake made out of cupcakes. It was a hit!

Graham loves his cake!!
But not so much his birthday hat.

Loving a new present!

Hanging out with his cousins!

Catch Up, Part 3: Mother's Day

For Shannon's first Mother's Day Graham started a tradition where every year he is going to add some decorations to the pot and then plant a new flower with mommy to symbolize the life that she gave him. We love you mommy and we hope this pot makes it to next year!

Standing Up!

Graham has been standing on his own to some degree for a while. But just this past week he has been able to transition from the ground/sitting to standing without using anything to pull/push himself up. Since he realized that he could do this he started to do it constantly.

Catch Up, Part 2: Asheboro Zoo

Wow! Who knew in the middle of North Carolina you would find a top notch zoo? I mean a really great zoo with large exhibits that were both animal and spectator friendly. Most of the exhibits looked very natural and many of them featured different animals living together such as zebras and giraffes. We went in early May and we can't wait to go back!

There was an Africa safari exhibit that must have been a couple hundred acres with elephants, zebras, rhinos, antelope... so cool!

Graham getting into the predator mood.

Just monkeying around.

Zebra and giraffe exhibit was so peaceful we wanted to grab a picnic and blanket and join them.

Not even sure what this grin is about.

Beautiful!

We lucked out in that we got to the polar bear exhibit just before they brought out a giant fish Popsicle which you can see in the first pic.

Long, long day...
